Stories an audience has already road-tested

More than 2,400 stories drawn from online communities, scored for narrative and commercial pull.

Groundswell reads storytelling and discussion communities for stories people have already responded to, then turns each one into a pitch: a working title, a logline, a format and a genre.

Every record carries two scores, one for narrative strength and one for commercial pull, and the audience signal it came with.

Each one is marked clear, life rights or sensitive, so you know before you get attached whether it involves real people.

Questions about Groundswell

From public storytelling and discussion communities online. BlackSlate records the community and the response a story received, and writes its own logline; it does not republish posts.

Check its clearance status first. Original fiction posted online still belongs to its author, and true stories involve real people. Treat every record as a lead to clear, not a property you already hold.
